2009. it started.
2008. it just ended.
and at that i've really experience my many first in life. perhaps it's time to do a recap of them all.
01) enlisted in SPF and spent 5months at HTA.
02) got into PCG
03) learnt how to steer a boat.
04) learnt how to shoot a rifle, submachine gun, machine gun, flare gun, anti-rioting weapon.
05) learnt unarmed combat.
06) handle my first case as a police officer.
07) learnt how to do maintainance for a vessel
08) joined my first 5km, 10km, 15km run
09) learnt diving.
10) first chalet organisation
11) do my first 10m jump
12) learnt firefighting
13) started gymming regularly
14) going back to the unit as an ex-instructor
15) started doing long distance run regularly
16) tried sisha
17) tried my first puff of a cigarette. and it ended there
18) owned my first G-shock
19) owned my first oakley
20) owned my first manhatten portage
21) tried online shopping
22) letting the feeling go after 8years
23) learnt t-baton, asp baton
24) first flight on a budget airline
25) first trip to thailand, pattaya
26) first time riding a bike.
27) booked a hotel room
28) first time getting a ippt gold
29) first time eating fried insect
30) having my first uob account
31) first time shaving my hair
32) attempted learning hockey
guess that it is abt all i can think of at the moment.
new year countdown was great at copthorne king. though i think there are still lots of rooms for improvement.
spent the morning of 30dec on the PCG retreat at JOM clubhouse, met jon after that for a surprise visit back to cchsm for the sec 1 campfire. thinking back, it was the same event 2yrs back that we last worked together. it's good seeing jon again, having endless conversation for the rest of the day, reminiscing on our partnership, abt cchsm npcc, abt our lifes, abt everything under the sun. it's great talking to him. it's great seeing everyone in the unit again. it's great seeing ms khairani again. it's great spending time with uncle cai and my dearest CI harry. it's great seeing boss lam and my two wonderful CI jasmine and CI jiamin again. and too for the rest of the team. well, it kinda feels weird to be back not helping out. but our time is over, and the action belongs to the new team.
and sometimes, i really think that ppl who really worked with me are the ppl who are the closest to understanding and appreciating who i am. the same ppl who saw the other more serious side of me, the pondering guohui. the serious and analogical-minded guohui.
these aside, i ought to revise my hierarchy of needs.
