ok. it has been 2 weeks. and here i am feeling relaxed all over. I guess all the major events for the year or at least for the period is over with the end of atc 2006.
spent the weekend over at camp resilence, pulau ubin for atc. though the manpower was very stretched and a lot of things had to be done, i did enjoyed myself very much, particularly with all the meeting up of all the generations of CCHSM NPCC instructors at the ATC. It was nice seeing ms nani again as the OC of TKSS, and Mr Yee as a TO for TeKSS. It was a nice trip out at sea in a powerboat with Mr Yee ( kok kheong), kelvin and karen for my lifesaving duties, though i had quite a few incidents that requires my assistance this year.
It was also very nice to see some CIs from my generation like asrul again. kinda miss ppl like boon xiong, kelvyn, daniel, andrew, yuan ze, geraldine, zhi wei, jeremy. The list goes on.
Of course, there are new CIs joining my rank; (ppl who i used to take for ATC when they were sec 3 cadets). People like joan, dawn, bastian, yeow ho( though din really get to work with him closely yet), jian boon and nazirah. It was lovely meeting them and had such time playing frequency games and the little chats we had over sentry duty with joan, dawn, harry and bastian.
and the current CIs like azrin, lingyan, tianshuo, lian yu, surianni. had a wonderful time with you all. being photo whores and being fierce. and tian shuo for a fun bathing experience all together.
And all thanks to karen for her wonderful fried rice for friday night, and desmond for his fabulous food for every camp...
And to all cchsm npcc instructors like junyi, lam, jon and harry. and guan yong. hongkai too. though we had so much things at hand as the organising unit. lovely.
learnt quite a number of things from the campers as well. It was fun.
I had always love ATC. and all the even more when i become a CI. The feeling is great when the instructors come together to create a memorable camp, usually with the learning session that benefits the campers. be it tekan or little pep talks. no matter how shag u are, it always feels great when you break camp to see each camper a better person, the bonds forged between them, esp when they come from different units with different culture, the intra unit bond strengthening. and the light camp mood on the last day. all these made it real worthwhile.
well, i guess this shall be my last atc if not the second last. had really enjoyed it well and good. thanks guys.
and once again, atc is over, another year has passed.
and i shall move on for now. there are more things to be done. definitely. for now.
