LiFe oF gUohU|...cHp 99

hmm... juz reached home today k... watched kingdom of heaven today with hweeli and weicong at cineleisure...

well... had a lot of tots and feelings on the show man...

to begin with, this show talks mainly abt crusades, knights, templar knights... muslims, islam, beliefs in god etc....

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is an epic adventure about a common man who finds himself thrust into a decades-long war. A stranger in a strange land, he serves a doomed king, falls in love with an exotic and forbidden queen, and rises to knighthood. Ultimately, he must protect the people of Jerusalem from overwhelming forces – while striving to keep a fragile peace. From Ridley Scott, the master of the modern epic.

okie, firstly on the ratings... hmm... dun feel that NC 16 is rather a good rating for the show... besides some really gruesome bloodshed an violent, i am rather concern with the more religious and society issue man... the image if templar knights, muslim, islam, christainity and all... firstly to begin with, the show seems to me like some sorta of propoganda movie man... if u dun really know ur history and facts well, u could well be distorted and influenced by the movie... i guess some 16 yrs old immature KIDS are definitely not ready to noe this... i'm okie with the gruesome scene though...

well, generally, i'm quite satisfied with the war scenes depicted in the movie... the merciless killing, the utter mutilated body, the bloodshed and all... it all make the movie all so real man... and bet some of the viewers din noticed that the movie actually shows the people rubbing animal fats and oil over the chainmails... tt is to prevent the chainmails from rusting k... the majectic scenes of the war is relatively comparable with the LOTR series... ridley scotts did not disappoint me on tt... but somehow it have too many "gladiator" alive scenes man...

as for the seige on Jerusalem, i had almost expected the Rohirrim riders to appear and save the day like in LOTR man... haha... but it never do...

there was a whole load of internal political struggle depicted in the show though...

and the loads of medieval knights in medieval armours wielding swords fighting totally sweep me off my feet man... tt is real damn cool man... i have always love medieval fighting since young.. this movie is definitely an eye feast for me...

though the romance in the show is kept to a mere minimum...unlike the LOTR featuring Arwen and Aaragon...

however, i do feel that the the Templar Knights were unnecessarily villianized though... in a most propaganda way... duhx...

and tt the muslims were unneccassily accused of being cool blooded with the bloodshed of the Jerusalem knights... and for the brutality of the war...

and for all we know, this might spark off an international religion war...

or worst...

and the muslims for all we noe dun feel so ful abt it...

and from these... will like to share some interesting quotes from the film... though i dun tink i can replicated the whole real thing:

1) May God be with you, if not, then may god bless you
2) What is of a man that is to be man without his will
3) we'll fight not for the cold walls of Jerusalem, but for the people here. let the come, let them come...
4) the knighting ceremony words... which i have forgotten le..

haha

okie, here are some snapshots which i painstakingly put up.. coz blogger delete my first entry....grrhhh...
