finally back to bloggin or even to the extend of using my com again... finally kinda settled down after so many camps... or shld i say away from home... excluding my recent trip to malaysia, i've been away from home for lyk 16 days... And tt means i din spend 1 week at home since the beginning of my sem break... n i earn myself a grounding for camps and nites out... great... but i seriously do lurve camp huh?... dun really miss home... till recently... haha... now den i really appreciate how comfortable is my bed... and the luxury of using a com... ok ok... let me update abt my atc...

for this atc, it is really a kinda of shortage of manpower or should i say instructors... but it work out perfectly find... the area 11 instructors or shld i say most of us work perfectly fine...ok... out of ard 10 instructors, lyk 5 of us are serving chung cheng yishun...haha... great... n thanks to these guys and desmond sir from TKSS that we had such good food during the camp... well... day 1 for me is rather busy.. had to update the adminstration thingy for the camp... pressing the instructors for time... sorting out rations etc... oh ya... was dere for survival cooking. i almost died from the food prepared by the campers k... the food is edible... but... nvm... let me list out some things they came up with.... instant noodle cooked with milo+pineapple?? biscuits with fillings such as sardines, ovaltines, pineapple... topped with chrysantemum powder!!! milo mixed with chrysantemum...crushed biscuits mixed with instant noodles.. etc...and the list goes on... being sporting, i tried almost everyone of them... leaving me almost in tears later on... haha... i swear i dun wanna try biscuits with fillings of pineapple and ovaltine tablets again... danial will know y...haha... tried 4 biscuits stacked together with fillings in btwn... was great... haha... nite time.. yuan ze had this crazy idea to have a biscuit licking session... coz we had time to spare for SUPPER!!! had this ST pat's cadet demonstrating how to lick a pack of jam and biscuits... haha... arousing moment huh?? n i manage to take a snapshot of this cute broadrick girl who managed to eat her biscuits w/o using her hands... tt's lyk soooo cute... hamster lyk huh?? hha... as usual, me din sentry for the whole nite.. crapping with danial... campers... instructors etc... din noe tt i could repeat myslef for 8 grps for tt nite... haha...well... tt's once danial told a instantly-made-up ghost story tt seems so real to the camper tt they actually skipped some place...coz too dark and "scary" to them..haha.. n i made up tt the campfire pit was shapped in a round ship at the campsite coz...a bomb dropped during WW2 and viola, u had tt pit...haha.. lame... aniwae, continued laming with danial, geraldine and hongkai ( he fell aslp for some moment....) till dawn...

day 2 begin with physical training... gotta admit tt the stretching exercise by a fellow instructor was nt sufficient... but dun wanna override her decision... so...shhh... N she was out of breathe during the run!! n zhiwei had to stand in for her... as usual, i was the winger... den was breakfast and tent inspection... oh ya...just to update... by now, we found 1 sports bra, 2 underwear, 1 disposable underwear... n i'm damn suai to pick up tt sports bra w/o knowing it... sian 0.5 sia.. up next was the orienteering session.. part of the activity cycle with low ropes obs... i was the command post...for the second session... first session, me and sung sheng had to find reception for tt walkie talkie...till we chap a wrong chatroom... second session was interesting.. alex and geraldine got lost... n i had to use questions lyk" please confirm your location now." haha... n we heard wrongly tt alex said a few steps awa from campsite to " 1 step away from campsite" / "3 steps away from campsite." the... haha...for the campfire tt nite, the instructors were as usual crazy again.. i duno y every instructors turned sooo HIGH...hha... did all sorta crazy action.. n we started area cleaning till 0030??? tt's crazy.. aniwae, it rained.. the campers had to sleep in canteen coz too much centipede and many tents collapse le... oh.. during the area cleaning time, boon siong mistook mr lee as a camper and scolded him!!! tt's lyk (--!)... mr lee is so damn big size k...

for sentry tt nite, for the first few hrs till 3am, we had frequency games for instructors... i was brain-dead at tt pt le...den still play this... so EVIL of them... hha... den slpt on the cool floor.. was awaken by jeremy's snoring... i tot was alarm clock sia...haha... den we recorded his snores... N his snorings woke up some female campers k! ( we slept very near to the female campers...)

nth much for third day... did area cleaning... waS at the tentage area with zhi wei and yuan ze... yuan ze kena bitten by fire ants... n someone actually brought up this pt...IS FIRE ANTS FIRE RESISTANT?? den all 3 of us took out our lighter and started burning the ants... tt's lyk... so childish k...haha.. n zhi wei and i burnt some centipede coz we c them bu shuang... particularly the 2 mating...haha.. end off atc at changi jetty and head to cchs for a meeting with the ncos... after tt went to TM to watch THE INCREDIBLE with the instructors... wonderful lame show.. went to fisherman village after tt and chill till 1am plus... desmond drove us home with his STARWARS-theme car...

me finally backed from OBS leadership yesterday... was so tired tt i slp till today 3pm and here i here to blog again... hmmm... tt's the longest camp i had ever been to so far... a full 7 day camp... n mind u... tt's kinda lyk a training camp... it has been so long since i last participate as camper in a training camp... the feeling is kinda great... before the camp, i was definitely hesitant to go for the camp... coz i was really tied up with SPinnovex committee work and the planning of my area's sec 2 adventure training camp which i am going to be the camp coord or ass camp coord. but i guess i gain more during the camp... it was really a fruitful one... for one thing, i was clear of my direction path in life again... i turned more self aware (hopefully)...

day one of the camp started out by me meeting rizwan, cinderine, raudah, zaki and michael. we took 27 and bus 82 to punggol... the camp started with a truely shocking instruction. we were to abandon the ferry some distances away from OBS campsite and within 10mins, we were to transfer our things into a air tighted baja baga, put on a life vest and swim to the shore!!! haha... tt's really one of its kind... kinda shocking isn't it... aniwae, tt's wad we did... swam to shore with some of our things wet... day 1 passed with ease ... ending with us having to sleep in basha instead of dorms... however, we ended up slping along the walkway...

day 2 started with morning PT, a 2.4 grp jog from the quadrangle to OBS camp 1...the energizer game b4 the PT was well... interesting... learning pt was tt energerizer games before PT really help us to wake up for PT... after which we attended a talk by telling us our characteristic.. hmm... according to my pts, i m a high S person when in stress... tt means i would be steady, inspiring and do things by order BUT lack dominance. kinda true to some extent... hmm... had orienteering after tt... was paired with jay jay, benjamin and stats...well, out of 10 checkpts... we found only 2 and tt's the highest in the TEAM... coz there are lots of fake checkpts along the way and the locations are lyk so... diff to get to.. did lots of bashin in the infested jungle... now my hands are filled with bites of honour from these pests... after that, we had this grp run of 4.8 km... n this time round, we really slp in basha at nite... had lots and lots of mosquito bites...

we begin day 3 with a personal 2.4 individual run with me clocking a timing of 13 mins plus... considering that i din run for a long time and how rugged the terrain is, i would say tt i did fairly well... we set sail for pulau ubin npcc campsite by 12noon in a 3 sitter canadian kayak... i was with tat ying and wei liang for this exp.... we had to tow a logistic boat containing our rations, water supply for 5 days and equipments beside our luggage packed into a air tight baja bag... the exp is interesting... with us crapping our way dere... had dry ration on the kayak and set foot at pulau ubin npcc campsite at 2pm plus... den set up a kitchen, modular tents for classroom, and our basha... my writing material including my journal was wet despite putting them in the ziplock bag... aniwae, we build our base in the rain... despite kayaking in the rain before, we neva expect the rain at our campsite, resulting in us being wet...learning pt is to observe our surroundings and look for out little details in wadever we do... i was in the ration committee and was in charge of the meals too... nite time, slp in the basha and spent my time looking at stars and chatting with tat ying for my sentry...

day 4 begin with a grp jog from bahru campsite to noordin campsite... after which, we had a reflection session lasting 1hr...alone sitting at some part of the campsite... had a long thought... after which, we had this share-a-long session which i din... dun wan myself to be in tears when i relate my stories... after which we had a communication camp which zaki and cinderine was to radio com instructions to us on how to place things and build a robot. evening time, we had a walk ard npcc campsite... for once, i realise tt i dun really know the campsite well... been to the outside of the black one... ( whr it was said tt the first actually battle took place durin japs invasion of sg...), green hse etc... learned quite a few species of plant eg the CB plant and all... tt day, i din do my sentry duty coz no one wake me up... haiz.. sorry guyz...

day 5: we ran 6 time from bahru to noordin campsite and tt was lyk 5 plus km? ( estimation by urs sincerely)... after tt,we kayaked to mamam swamp ... we saw this flying fish on our way to the swamp... and they actually flew into my kayak... haha...had to throw them out to the water... i accidentally threw one and hit a kayak....zzz... aniwae, continued to kayak in the swamp... engrossed in the swamp surrounding...we went thru this route which we for the past 3 yrs walked to npcc campsite... tt's kinda intricating... we trekked for a moment at the swamp and have a closer look at the mudskippers, tree crabs etc... had gun aiming activity after tt.. my group: zaki, benjamin, wei jie, tat ying, weiliang and rizuan won...

nite time.. it was deepavali... we cook special dinner (oso outdoor la) and had a celebration.. using everything we got, we actually decorated the place...

day 6, we set sail back to OBS campsite at 8am... i was the exp leader on our trip back as well as the IC for the camp... coz i lost the concentration game...haiz... aniwae, after reaching the campsite, the camp mood was in a total relaxed mood... bought a orange obs polo tee and a milked printed tee at the souveniour shop... set the day cleaning up our equipment... and cooked a 7 course dinner with lots and lots of fried noodle for the nite... slp at a dorm....finally....

woke up at 430am in the morning on day 7... had a 3 hr reflection game called walk out life, aiming to make us clearer in our direction in life... i guess i really benefitted a lot... reflect upon many many thing... in my life, in np.. in relationships, friends... etc.... packed and go at 12 noon...

ok... shall end my entry now,,, it is getting too long... shall continued another day... the thoughts and feeling and things happening at the camp are many... yet.. they are indescriptable here... haiz.. i guess picture paints a thousand words... hope these photos( courtesy of Mr. zaki) do help bring back some memories...
